Grillcraft Grills on 2008 Scion tC (By Steve Gonzales)

Recently, my girlfriend purchased a 2008 Scion tC and while it is a nice car, there are so many of them on the road and some personalizing was in need.  She was excited to have a new car and I was excited to have a new toy to play with!  We decided the first modification should be a either a performance or exterior part.  After discussing options with the http://www.motorweb.com sales team, we ordered a Grillcraft MX Series upper grill (TOY-1870) and the 3-Piece MX Series lower grill set (TOY-1873) in black to enhance the front end and begin our journey to set this car apart.

The products arrived quickly from http://www.motorweb.com and were found to be of excellent quality.  The grills were very strong and sturdy and the black finish was immaculate.  They were formed to fit the front end of the tC perfectly and we were excited to put them on.  The installation instructions provided by Grillcraft were thorough and complete and even included step-by-step pictures of the process.  The first step of the install was carefully removing the front bumper cover and then removing the stock black plastic grills.  The instructions did specify some minor drilling was required, luckily we found out only 3 small holes needed to be drilled, one for each lower grill.

The upper grill was installed quickly and easily, the lower grills took about twice as long due to the fact there is 3 of them and the space to work is a bit tighter.  After securing the grills with the supplied hardware, we put the front bumper cover back on and made sure no bolts were missing.  All in all it took about 2 hours to install the grills with basic hand tools and a cordless drill.  The finished product is exactly what we were looking for and was definitely a solid choice.
