Cold Air Intake on 2004 Dodge Stratus – By Ryan Vink
It’s fairly easy to locate a cold air intake for most performance cars on the market since all the major manufacturers generally make them. If you’re driving a newer model Ford Mustang you have probably dozens to choose from. The same goes for Civic, Scion, and other popular vehicles of the day. If you are driving something else you have to dig a little deeper to find a cold air intake since most manufacturers only seem to focus on the high-velocity movers.
When I wanted to add a cold air intake to my 2004 Dodge Stratus RT it took some digging. Since I work at Motorweb.com I have access to all the latest and greatest gear for my vehicles and after scouring our system as well as the internet I found just what I was looking for.
I was able to find a cold air intake with aluminum tubing to replace the plastic factory air box on my car and allow cool air from under the front bumper of the vehicle. It also had a mass-airflow adapter so I didn’t have to make any modifications from the original location. It only took about 45 minutes to complete the installation and once completed I got a noticeable improvement in sound, performance and throttle response. I would recommend this upgrade on any vehicle you drive, even if you have to do a little digging to track one down.

I'm having troubles finding a cold air intake for my car. I have a 2004 chrysler sebring with mitsubishi engine a 3.0 v6 SOHC 181.3 CID which is the same for the 2004 mitsubishi eclipse GT 3.0 v6 SOHC 181.3 CID but AEM does not make it for the 04 sebring limited. would the same cold air intake on the mitsubishi work on my 04 sebring?
